At their discretion, teachers may give detention for:
a) Lack of homework, poor work or unacceptable behaviour in the classroom.
b) Lateness to school - if a student arrives late at registration (i.e. after 8.30 am), on two or more occasions. Teachers may give detention at their discretion for lateness to lessons.
c) Wearing unauthorised school uniform. Parents will be contacted.
d) Any form of anti-social behaviour (e.g. running, shouting, bad manners, rudeness, etc.).
We wish to co-operate with you. If at any time you are concerned about the welfare of your child or about school work please do not hesitate to come and see us. Clearly a telephone call would be helpful so that a mutually convenient time could be arranged but in an emergency you will always receive a welcome. Someone will attend to your concerns - usually a senior member of staff - but this may mean that you have to wait until the end of a lesson.
Please, never be afraid to come to see us. We want what you want - a happy successful and hard working youngster.
