Homework is both important and necessary. Homework done regularly has the same effect as an extra year in school. It is vital if you are to succeed. Use your Planner to help you organize work and deadlines.
Do your homework at the same time every day in a quiet place away from distractions, such as television.
Homework must come first - before jobs, clubs, societies and friends. You will achieve more by working regularly for short periods, rather than trying to work for a long time.
Revise regularly - again in short bursts - 20 to 30 minutes at a time, followed by a short break before a second revision period, is far better than trying to revise for longer times. This is why it is important to plan a revision timetable before examinations.
Never leave work until the last minute - rushed work never gains as many marks as good quality prepared work, or good solid revision done over several nights.
