All subjects conform to the requirements of the National Curriculum.
During the first two years (Years 7 and 8) students will follow a broad curriculum which includes: English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Music, Art, Drama, Technology (including Information Technology, Food Technology and Textiles), Modern Languages, Physical Education and Personal, Social and Citizenship Education. In Year 9 students will take the Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) which are an important part of the National Curriculum.
In Years 10 and 11 students must take English (Language & Literature/Media Studies in most cases), Mathematics, Science, and a Technology/Modern Languages subject. In addition a number of further subjects may be chosen from a range including History, Geography, PE, a second Technology/Modern Language, Music, Art, Drama, Dance and applied GCSE's in ICT, Leisure & Tourism and Health & Social Care.
